How important is romantic LOVE in our lives?
Q. How important do you think love is in the lives of human beings? Specifically romantic love amongst two couples. How important is that in a human beings life? Do you think it is of very little importance in comparison to the other necessecities in our lives, or do you think it is one of the most important things human being must carefully cherish? Do we need it or can we live with out it? Or think of it this way, how important is your significant other to you in comparison to your other nessecities in your life? Just looking for some opinions :)

A. romantic love?that is the beginning of something real, and the real things are not romantic at all.I'm in marriage, with mine romantic love, but the marriage is real now , so the romantic is gone.we steal love each other, and respect, and we are understanding well, so i think that kind of stuff are more important in real life!

Why does Western society value Romantic Love so much?
Q. Its all a bit strange when you think about it... when you compare it to the likes of india, for whom marriage is more arranged. west=english speaking countries, and europe ie the liberal democracies. romantic love=meeting someone and falling in love with them. (i thought id better put these definitions to stop people from misinterpreting me ^^)

What is the real difference between platonic and romantic love?
Q. What exactly are the feelings we have that seperate how we feel about our friends and family from how we feel about the people we are in love with. Without bringing sex into it, what are the feelings you have for your partner that are different to feelings you have for platonic loved ones? If you are in love, why are you in love with that person and why do you feel differently about them to how you feel about others? That's funny Steve. Now answer the question please.

A. Yes,see what you mean! But although Platonic love engages the heart,romantic love makes you feel the to the outer limits of your soul & very being. You feel previously undiscovered highs & lows.The necessity to be in the company for that person is overwhelming.It affects your body chemistry too.In the early stages you have bright fevered eyes and can lose weight easily.Yes,many of our poets have described it as an illness.In a sense it is. But,if requited,what a delicious one!You know then that true addiction that doesn't come from drugs or alcohol.
